Life, After Life – Marble Cemetery Residence
The project is a conceptual multi-unit housing designed on top of the New York Marble Cemetery. Through the expanded structure from underground, it questions the relationship between the live and the dead, the communal and the private, the present and the future. With respect to the geometry of the cemetery underneath, the proposed design is a dynamic community centered along two linear corridors with infinite possibilty to expand and aggregate. Different typologies of living units form over time and evolve with the space of the dead simultaneoulsy.
